Woody Johnson, Jets owner, was criticized by Bill Belichick for the firing of Robert Saleh on ‘Manningcast’.

On Monday night, during the Jets vs. Bills “Manningcast” broadcast, Bill Belichick made it clear that he didn’t like the Jets.

Belichick, who notoriously resigned after serving as the Jets’ head coach for a brief period of time, attacked Woody Johnson and the Jets organization for their choice to remove Robert Saleh last week.

In case you didn’t know, I don’t really like the Jets,” the former Patriots coach told Peyton and Eli Manning. That’s all I have to say about Fireman Ed. Coach Saleh carried out that program admirably. He introduced a competitive spirit, a level of toughness, and a culture.

Coach Saleh performed an excellent job, in my opinion, and this team is probably not that far from victory. The six-time Super Bowl champion head coach, Bill Belichick, didn’t stop there, though. He elaborated on Johnson’s approach to the situation.

When Peyton Manning stated it was too soon to dismiss the coach, Belichick responded, “That’s kind of what it’s been there with the Jets.” In the past ten years, they have not won more than 30 percent. Just aim, fire, and prepare—the owner is the owner after all.

Even though it was felt that the Jets needed to make some adjustments, some saw Nathaniel Hackett, the offensive coordinator, as the major problem. After Jeff Ulbrich, the defensive coordinator, took over as the team’s temporary head coach, Hackett was demoted from his play-calling position.

He did, however, carry on making fun of the Jets on Monday night when they fell to the Bills 23–20, even going so far as to say that his time with the team was “unblemished.”

“I held the position of head coach both prior to Bill Parcells’ arrival and following his resignation. Okay, unscored on and undefeated? stated Belichick. “I have an impeccable record as the Jets’ coach. Never conceded an argument.
