A truck was used by a woman to hit her ‘lover’, who later died in St. Mary’s County

One person is dead in Lexington Park, Maryland, after what may have been a crime of passion.

A 50-year-old lady was arrested and charged with murder in the second degree, murder by vehicle, assault in the first degree, and driving while impaired.

Maryland State Police say that Simone Stewart, a 50-year-old woman from Lexington Park, got behind the wheel of a Chevy Suburban while she was drunk and hit Demeatrum Scarborough, 53.

It took place in St. Mary’s County on Monday, October 7th, around 1:00 p.m.

Police say that Stewart and Scarborough were both in a relationship and had a fight before the event.

Soon after the accident, troopers from the Leonardtown Barrack went to the area of Spring Valley Drive and Valley Court in Lexington Park and found Scarborough.

The 53-year-old man was flown to Medstar Washington Hospital by the Maryland State Police Aviation Command. On Tuesday, he was declared dead.
