The family pet bit a one-month-old baby, and no one “paid attention,” and the baby died.
The event took place in Torrance, California, and a neighbor told several news sites that there were several dogs living on the property.
At about noon on Tuesday, someone reported an animal bite at a home on Martha Avenue. When the firemen got there, they saw the hurt baby who had been bitten by the family dog.
The one-month-old was rushed to the hospital in a last-ditch effort to save her life, but she did not make it.
An ABC7 friend of the family said, “They’re good people.” It’s a shame that they didn’t pay attention to what they should have, since the baby is only one month old.
It’s true that you shouldn’t bring your baby to a place where there are a lot of big dogs. I personally like dogs and have one at home. “Plus it was wrong to begin with,” she said.
Tohidi said that there were several dogs living at the California home, including a mastiff, a Pitbull mix, and another mixed-breed dog. It’s not clear what kind of dog bit the child.
Torrance Animal Control took the dog from the home where it bit the baby, and cops said they would be looking into what happened again.
The police haven’t said what killed the person or brought any charges.
The name of the child has not been made public.
Reporters at the scene of the crime were told by Torrance police Lt. F. Ahmad, “It could be considered child endangerment if the parents were neglecting them, but that’s all we know.”
“Right now, the investigation is still going on, and we don’t know if a crime has been committed or not.”
