My Royal Slippers, Dollars And Expensive Phone Was Stolen At Ashaiman – KKD Continues His Rant

Written by Amenorhu Kwaku

Kwasi Kyei Dankwah aka KKD, a veteran broadcaster, has shared a story of how a group of criminals attacked and seized some priceless personal belongings at Ashaiman, near Tema, in the Greater Accra Region.

The broadcaster has been highlighting some bad features of the suburb for some time and this was a continuation of his rant.

KKD made this known in a discussion on Stonebwoy’s Ashaiman To Da World concert on Onua TV.

According to KKD, the event which was held on September 3, 2022, at Ashaiman Sakasaka Park was spoilt with criminal activities.

He narrated his own experience saying he was robbed of his priceless royal slippers, an expensive phone, and an undisclosed amount of dollars.

“I will plead with the organizers to maybe change the venue because that same Ashaiman route was where I was robbed. They took away all my phones and dollars in a bag. They took “Ahenema” slippers I was delivering to someone. It seems that we are gradually becoming a failed state”, KKD said.

KKD took the opportunity to recommend that the organizers of the concert change the venue for security reasons.

The Ghana Police Service released a statement after the event announcing that some 42 suspected armed robbers were arrested at the concert for various offenses.

They were arrested on suspicion of attacking and robbing fans who attended the event, injuring some in the process.
